Broker Remarks

Dufour 40e Performance cruiser/racer for sale. First launched in 2011. Twin aft cabin version with two heads compartments. Fitted with Volvo D2 55hp diesel. Twin spreader performance rig with fully-battened laminate mainsail and furling genoa.

‘SILVER CLOUD’ is a well set-up and experienced cruising yacht which has already seen the world by way of several European and Atlantic circuit voyages.  Fully equipped for long distance blue-water passages she nevertheless has all of the space and accommodation for comfortable on-board living.

With tall rig, deep fin keel and twin-wheel steering this is also a performer that will offer exhilaration under sail when asked while also happy to operate short-handed.  Handsome with her blue hull this sale presents an opportunity for someone to capture a very high-spec’d boat that is ready for the off.

Here’s what her owner has to say:

‘Having owned Silver Cloud since 2014, she has looked after us tremendously well.  During this time we have made many memories – several cross channel passages and trips up and down the south coast.  In 2015 we circumnavigated the UK and Ireland, 2016 we completed a trip to the Azores and back via northern Spain and then in 2017/18 completed the full Atlantic circuit via The Canaries, Antigua and the Azores again.  Throughout all these adventures, Silver Cloud never put a foot wrong and has been a joy to sail.  She will be missed but all the memories remain.’
