1972 Deb 33
The Deb 33 designed by Sparkman & Stephens, built by Tylers of Tonbridge is a shoal draft sloop ideal for sailing in shallow waters. She is beamy at 10’4” but draws a modest 4’0” with the plate up, but this is nevertheless sufficient to permit her to be handled normally to windward – an important feature. With the plate down drawing 7’0” this extra 22sq ft of keel gives her a sharp windward performance.
