1983 Duellist 32
The Duellist 32 is a very traditional design of cruiser with a spacious and extremely solid hull, long fin keel with centre plate and a strong rig, although very much a cruising yacht they have had some racing success. The accommodation has been very nicely fitted out in traditional style varnished mahogany with stowage everywhere. A nice example of the style and well worth viewing.
Accommodation
The accommodation offers up to six berths in two cabins. In forecabin, V berth with stowage under. Opening hatch to foredeck. Separate heads compartment to port with marine toilet and washbasin. Hanging locker opposite. In saloon, dinette to port converting to double berth, with single settee berth opposite. Fixed table with drop leaf. Chart table to starboard with quarter berth behind and galley opposite. Two burner gimballed Dometic gas cooker with grill and oven. Refrigerator. Galley sink with pressurised cold-water supply. 140 litres freshwater capacity. Heated throughout via a Planar 2Kw diesel heating system. Radio/CD.

History and Construction
Built in 1983 by Ford marine to a design by Alan Hill. Pale blue GRP hull. Teak rubbing strake. White GRP superstructure with painted Treadmaster non-slip to deck. Long keel with lifting centreplate. Skeg hung rudder. Tiller steering. Aft self-draining cockpit. She was designed for exploring shallow coastlines like the East Coast, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk etc. Though the previous owner sailed to Tallin in Estonia with the Cruising Association and cruised the Baltic.
