Accommodation
The accommodation offers four berths in two cabins with standing headroom. Forecabin with vee berth, infill to form a double berth. Separate heads compartment to port with a marine toilet and fold-down wash basin with hand pumped cold water supply. Hanging locker to starboard. Saloon consisting of a table and seating to port, galley chart table and quarter berth to starboard.
Galley:
The galley is equipped with a gimballed 2-burner gas cooker with oven, fridge, galley sink with pressurised cold water supply and ample stowage.
Mechanical and Rigging
Built in circa 1982 by Hartley Marine Ltd to a design by David Feltham. She has a GRP hull and deck with bilge keels. The decks are finished in a light grey non-slip surface. The vessel is tiller steered via a skeg hung rudder.
Mechanical:
Genesis is powered by a Farymann 20hp raw water cooled diesel engine. It drives a shaft with a three bladed fixed propellor which gives a 5 knot cruising speed with 6.5 knots available top speed. The engine is also used to charge 2 x 12V batteries.
Rigging and Sails:
Masthead rigged with slab reefing main (requires stitching) and roller reefing genoa. Also in the sail locker is a hank on working jib and storm jib. She is fitted with stailess steel standing rigging, stanchions and handrails and is equipped with anodised aluminimum spars.
