This Bruce Roberts Filmar 36 is a great all round cruiser, capable of offshore cruising yet is also at home on any inland waterways. This boat is well equipped with a range of navigation aids, safety equipment. Diesel warm air heating extends the periods when this motorboat can be used. This boat has a real cosy feel to it yet is very functional. This motorboat would also make a great liveaboard. Great amount of space and very comfortable this boat is ready to sail away. The boat is currently afloat and an early viewing is recommended.

Accommodation

This Bruce Roberts Filmer 36 offers 6 berths in two cabins and saloon with over 6ft headroom.

The forward cabin offers two single berths in bunk formation on the port side with stowage under the lower bunk, together with a hanging locker and additional stowage around the cabin walls.

Coming aft you have the galley on the starboard side and immediately opposite to port is a large dinette area with a ‘U’ shaped settee.

Diesel powered warm air heating is fitted throughout. The galley is fitted with sink and drainer with hot and cold pressurised water supply, a microwave and three burner gas hob, oven and grill.

The large saloon midships also incorporates the lower helm position to starboard, this area offers a settee to port and starboard. Under the seating areas there is plenty of storage space. The saloon is fitted with a bulkhead mounted flat screen T.V with digital box and also an AM/FM Radio cassette player. The saloon settees can be used as two single berths. The saloon and cabin soles are fitted with Beech veneer flooring, teak joinery and eau-de nil grey  upholstery with red piping .

The colour combination gives a real warm feel to the boat. To the stern is the master double cabin with en-suite electric heads connected to the holding tank. The main heads compartment offers an electric sea toilet, wash hand basin and shower all of which discharge into the 200 gallon holding tank. The aft deck gives space for 6 around a table and the Flybridge has seating for 6 adults.

Mechanical and Rigging

Mechanical Systems:

Located under the rear cabin 2 Volvo Penta ADAD41B 200HP 6 cylinder turbo diesel engines that are fresh water cooled. Micro Hammer wireless twin lever controls at both Lower and Flybridge positions with electric start. Stern drives to duo 3 blade aluminium props with hydraulic steering. 200 gallon fuel tank giving an approximate 300 mile range. Cruising speed 10 Knots, Max speed 18 Knots. the engines were last service by the owner in August 2022. 

Electrical Systems:

5 x 110AMP 12V batteries (2 x Engine, 3 x Domestic) 2 years old . Charging from alternator and 240V battery charger via shore power. 12 Volt power is managed via a master panel with 32 mini breakers with a further 18 gang switch panel at the lower helm position. The 240 Volt system with RCD has a five gang switch panel which feeds the Microwave, water heater and intelligent battery charger which is connected to the domestic batteries only

History and Construction:

This Bruce Roberts designed Filmar 36 built in 1992 is a semi-displacement motorboat with a blue painted hull. The hull, deck and frame moulded in 5mm steel. White flybridge superstructure is moulded in GRP. A self-draining cockpit with tecdeck across all of the deck areas. The flybridge is also fitted with a folding radar arch which can easily be lowered if used on the inland waterways. The vessel was last out of the water in October 2022 when she was antifouled and  anodes changed. Bellows were last changed in August 2022.
