The Broom 37 is a strong, safe and comfortable seagoing vessel. The Broom 37 Continental remains a popular model for both inland and offshore cruising. It offers excellent and spacious accommodation. Just been antifouled and anodes replaced,  May 2018. Owner is open to any reasonable offer for a quick sale.

Accommodation

The Broom 37 Continental offers five berths in three cabins. The spacious forward cabin with “V” berth, which converts to a double, with ample storage lockers and, full-length deep wardrobes with storage locker. Anchor chain locker access. The washroom on the port side offers sink and shelf unit with hot & cold taps, a Jabsco marine toilet with holding tank, storage cabinet below the sink, easy clean surfaces.

Saloon, lower helm position with full instrumentation. A large seating area, teak dining table with folding leaves, access to the port and starboard decks via side doors. The saloon settee converts to a single berth. Upholstery replaced in 2015. Eberspacher diesel cabin heating

Aft Cabin has a two single berths, each with shelf and side locker, overhead reading lights, dressing table, large shelf, overhead light, four drawers with double fronted wardrobe. En-suite comprises of a sink unit with hot and cold water, with locker below, Jabsco marine toilet with holding tank, shower, mirror,  shower with easy clean surfaces. Aft Heads has LEd lighting

Galley comprises of a stainless steel sink and drainer with hot and cold water with storage below, equipped four burner ring gas cooker, 12V  Fridge, open crockery storage shelving unit, cutlery drawer. The water is heated via an Immersion fed from a 100 gallon tank. Hot water heaterd by gas. Galley lights have been converted to LED

Windows were reconditioned in 2014/2015

Mechanical and Rigging

The Broom 37 Continental is powered by twin Perkins HT6354 145hp turbo diesel engines, saltwater cooled, shaft drive to two bronze four-bladed propellers with rope cutters, with an impressive 900-litre fuel tank. Giving a cruising speed of approximately 10 knots and a maximum speed of 15 knots. Hydraulic steering system.  Starboard water pump replaced 2017. Port starter motor replaced 2017  

Electrical Systems

8 x 12 volt batteries feeding a 24 volt system charging from the engine alternator and battery charger.  There are 4 engine batteries, approx 4 years old and 4 domestic batteries approx 1 year old. 240 volt ring main installed.
