Broker Remarks

38ft steel Bruce Roberts 'offshore' solidly and professionally built by Avon Brunel engineering.Needs a  personalised finishing off and is a project. Stored in a secure site on the Wirral near Liverpool.

The hull has been reently grit blasted back to bare metal etch primed and protected with a 2 pack primer coat, then professionally painted with 3 coats of 2 pack Jotun (as used on QE II and north sea oil rigs). The inside of the hull has also been long term rustproofed and epoxy tar protected for long term freedom from rusting. Many steel boats have been 'home built' and skimped on rust prevention thus causing a bad reputation for steel boats rusting away after a number of years. This one is a fine example of how a steel boat should be built and finished, and thus has many years of maintenance free use.

The boat has been designed and heavily built for long term shorthanded blue water cruising with comfortable and roomy live aboard below. Professionally fitted out by E.Green Ltd in top grade teak and mahogany, with many features for long term comfort and safety, added to by a retired luxury yacht outfitter for his own use, which due to health issues has been unable to finish the last few small jobs needed to complete.
