1984 Tradewind 35
Tradewind 35 with bow sprit built 1984, Masthead cutter, GRP hull and deck, long keel, with keel hung rudder. The Tradewind 35 possess exceptional sea keeping and handling characteristics, which makes her a pleasure to sail. She is fast, safe and comfortable, which offers exceptional sailing performance, ensuring fast passage making to any corner of the globe. A 2017 survey report is available on request.

Accommodation

The main saloon is entered via the companionway, below decks the accommodation is traditional in style with a well-made, cosy, comfortable and safe feel. A further step down and you are in the saloon with solid teak flooring throughout the boat. The first thing that strikes you is the headroom which in places is 7 feet. The saloon has teak woodwork throughout. The seating is on settees/berths to port and starboard of a central teak dining table. Cupboard storage to both port and starboard and behind and under the settees and there is a bookshelf to starboard. Galley to port with four burner hob and oven. Stainless steel sink with cold with manually pumped water supply. Top opening fridge. Extensive galley storage for round the world cruising. In the bow through a short corridor with large wardrobe to starboard and heads compartment to port is the fore cabin with double berth and infill.  There are large storage cupboards and shelves to port and starboard and deck hatch for natural night and ventilation. Access to forward anchor locker. Heads forward and to port of the saloon is the large heads compartment with Lavac sea toilet with porcelain bowl, cupboards, and unit with round stainless-steel sink with cold-water tap.

Spars & Sails:
Rigged as a masthead cutter, deck stepped aluminium mast and boom, stainless steel standing rigging replaced October 2018. Mainsail slab reefing with stackpack, furling headsail by Harken MkIII.

Mechanical Systems:
The Tradewind 35 is powered via a single Bukh D36 three-cylinder 36hp diesel engine (last serviced June 2020 by the owner), with indirect cooling, shaft drive to a three bladed bronze propellor. 140 litre fuel capacity in two stainless steel tanks. Bowthruster SE80/185T.

Electrical Systems:
2 x 12-volt 140Ah domestic batteries (2020), 1 x 12-volt 140Ah engine battery (2020), 1 x 12-volt 140Ah bowthruster battery (2020). Charging from the engine alternator, shorepower connection with 240-volt ring main. Victron 12v/800va/35Ah battery management system. Inverter.
