2006 Beneteau Oceanis 343 Clipper
This Beneteau Oceanis 343 built-in 2006 has only had two owners from new. This particular yacht is the owner's version with a large owners aft cabin and a double berth forward. She is a perfect boat for a couple or a young family. She has good headroom. This yacht is fully equipped and set-up for easy family sailing with a battened mainsail with lazyjacks, furling genoa, autopilot, and radar She has been well maintained and updated including new Chartplotter this year. She is being sold as the current owners are looking to buy a larger yacht to sail off on. This model is proving to be popular with the second-hand market as it was when brand new. 

Accommodation

This Beneteau Oceanis 343 Clipper offers six berths in three cabins including the saloon.  The forward cabin has a double berth with hanging locker and storage beneath the berth. Opening deck hatch making this cabin feel light and airy.

The saloon has two settee berths facing each other separated by the saloon table which has folding leaves enabling people to move around the saloon with ease. There is lots of storage behind and underneath the berths. There are lots of portholes allowing light into the saloon. The saloon is fitted with a TV with a digital aerial fitted to the mast. 

Aft of the saloon and to Port is the L-shaped galley which has a 130L 12 v fridge with a small freezer box, an Eno two-burner hob gas cooker with oven, a stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressurised water that is heated by the 240V immersion heater and via a calorifer heated by the engine. The galley area has lots of storage space for pots, cutlery, plates and food. 

Opposite the galley is the Heads compartment which has a marine toilet with 80L holding tank, vanity unit with sink with hot and cold water and with storage beneath and a shower. 

Aft of the galley is the owners cabin which has a large double berth with hanging wardrode. Portholes provide lots of light making this cabin also light and airy. 

The yacht has blue upholstery throughout which gives a warm and cozy homely feel to this yacht. 

Steps take you up to the cockpit which has seating for six in comfort. The cockpit with its teak covered seats has plenty of storage space and benefits from a full cockpit enclosure. The cockpit whole wheel assembly swivels 90deg to port to allow free access on starboard side of cockpit when stern to.

Mechanical and Rigging

Mechanical Systems:

The Beneteau Oceanis 343 Clipper is fitted with the Yanmar 3YM30 30HP diesel engine. It has a shaft drive that is fitted with a folding 3 bladed prop. Morse engine control. The engine hour meter show 650 hours as at 6th October 2021. The engine was last serviced in March 2021 by the owner but has been lightly used since. She has a 75L plastic fuel tank. It has a cruising speed of.5 knots and a maximum speed of 7 knots. 

Spars and Sails:

Bermudan sloop rig decked stepped Zspars aluminium mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging is original but all Terylene running rigging was replaced as and when required. A battened slab reefing mainsail, with two reefs, furling genoa. All lines led aft to the cockpit.. 

Winches:

  • 2 x Harken 40 two speed self-tailing sheet winches
  • 2 x Harken 32 two speed self tailing halyard winches

Sails:

  • Mainsail, Dacron fully battened with two reefs 2006 condition good

Electrical Systems:

2 x 12v Domestic batteries 2018 and 1 x 12V engine battery all charged via engine alternator and 240V battery charger. 240V ring main shore power system with outlets in the saloon and all cabins. She also has a wind generator fitted with a battery management system attached.

History:

Built in 2006 this Beneteau Oceans 343 Clipper has a white grp hull and superstructure with style strips. Bolt-on cast iron keel. Teak laid cockpit seats and bathing platform. Wheel steering to spade hung rudder with emergency tiller. Self-draining aft cockpit. She benefits from mid-ships cleats. Last out of the water in March 2021 when her anodes were replaced, antifouled and hull polished. Owner is selling as they are moving up to a larger yacht. Only two owners from new.
