Owners comments
Designed by David Sadler as a refinement to his classic the Contessa 32, the Sadler 32 in comparison has more interior volume and increased headroom while still giving well-mannered and respectable performance. She’s a tough cruiser with a practical interior arrangement that makes the most of the space below.

Pixie, is the deep fin keel version, which offers better upwind performance, she has been set up for ease of use, and can be safely sailed single-handed or by a couple.

For the last 10 years Pixie has been exceptionally well upgraded for long distance coastal and offshore cruising. In 2010/11 she was sailed double-handed to from Portsmouth to Orkney and back and could undertake a similar cruise, or something more adventurous, tomorrow with no further modifications required. All the equipment added has been the best for quality, safety and longevity.

She’s owned by Yachting Monthly’s Graham Snook, and has regularly featured in the magazine. As one might expect from an owner who regularly tests yachts, she has had many small refinements to improve life on board, from Oceanair blinds – to maximise the light below – to an adjustable genoa sheeting system – allowing the helm to adjust the sheeting position without leaving the cockpit.

She was recently fitted with a Seldén retractable pole and there is a furling code zero which has transformed her light- and off-wind performance while still keeping her easily manageable. Put simply, Pixie and her specification makes her a unique yacht.
