This Freedom 35 , Green Flash, is in very good condition throughout and we are confident that you will not find a better Freedom 35 currently on the market. Her current owner is an experienced Marine surveyor who has maintained and updated her to a very high standard. Her engine was refurbished in 2014 and is serviced annually by a professional engineer. Her main and mizzen were new from Sanders sails of Lymington in 2014.
The Freedom 35 is a go anywhere stable and quick cruiser . Green Flash is equipped with a Raymarine St 40 autonhelm and an Aires wind vane self steering unit. Along with heating ,pressurized hot/cold water , solar and wind generators she is ready for the longest cruise and she is ready to go now.
She is the center board version giving a minimum draft of 1.09m. This gives her the ability to explore the shallowest anchorages and harbours .This has also enabled her to have been sailed to the Med via the French canals. With her keel down her draft is 2.31 (7ft 6 inches) making her a stable fast passage maker.
The Freedom 35's rig makes her very easy to be sailed either single or short handed.
She can be viewed in Beaulieu, Hampshire.
Accommodation
The Freedom 35 has 6 berths a double v berth in the forward cabin which has a hanging locker and under berth storage.
In the saloon there is a double berth and in the aft cabin two large single berths. The galley is practically laid out with a fridge, stainless steel sink with hot water and an oven with grill and two burners as well as dry storage. The chart table is to starboard and has a slide away stool.
The heads are a good size with a hot and cold water shower. The Blakes Lavac toilet was refurbished with new piping and pump in 2016.
Mechanical and Rigging
Engine
The Perkins Perama M30 with Hurth gearbox has been serviced annually by professional marine engineers during her current ownership.
Injectors overhauled, New fuel lift pump and new exhaust elbow fitted all in 2014
Tail shaft withdrawn for inspection, Cutlass bearing replaced and stern gland repacked in 2016.
Also in 2016 the following through hulls were removed and examined
