This Birchwood 370 Commando was built in 2004 and has had only two owners from new, including the current owner. This Birchwood 370 Commando has an excellent specification including navigation equipment and has been well maintained by the current owner who has purchased a larger flybridge motor yacht. It offers six berths in three cabins with a very sociable cockpit. A berth in Chatham Marina Kent is also available. Early viewing recommended.
Accommodation
This sports cruiser has four berths in two cabins. You enter the boat from the bathing platform and the transom door to port. As you walk through the cockpit to starboard is a large U-shaped seating area with cockpit table and opposite a wet bar. There is a bench seat runs along the port side. The double helm seat is to starboard and has all of the engine controls at hand.
Walking down the three companionway steps, you enter the main saloon. To starboard is the mid cabin with its twin berths which will also convert to a double berth with a small sofa and a basin as well as lost of storage.
The Galley is off to starboard and opposite to port is U-shaped seating area and overhead storage lockers. The Heads on the port side has a shower compartment and the separate toilet cubical to starboard.
The forward cabin has a central double berth, wardrobe, with vanity unit and storage cupboards. Carpet, curtains, marine toilet, 90L holding tank, pressurised electric water system, Beige upholstery, high gloss furniture, with warm air diesel heating (Eberspacher), TV aerial, 2 x LCD televisions, DVD player. Gas hob, oven, grill, electric water heater, calorifier, 12-volt electric refrigerator, sink, worktop, cutlery, and crockery.

Mechanical Systems:
The Birchwood 370 Commando is powered by twin 2004 Volvo Penta KAD300 285hp six cylinder turbo engines (with only 900 hours, last serviced in April 2017 by Volspec), to twin stern drives, twin stainless steel 4 bladed propellers. Giving an approximate cruising speed of 26 knots with an approximate top speed of 40knots. With a fuel capacity of 651 liters, this should give the Birchwood a range of about 200nm. For added manoeuvrability a Steiprner SP55s bow thruster is fitted. Spare starter motor, turbo and range of filters.
Electrical Systems:
4 x 12 volt batteries (All replaced April 2017) charging from the engine alternator, 240 volt battery charger. 240 volt ring mains installed along with an immersion heater. Inverter Panda 4.5HP Generator last service August 2016.
